Implementing Internet Marketing

Russ Henneberry recently had some very interesting and down to earth ways on how you can implement Internet marketing. Because lets face it, no matter how much you try to stay away from the booming Internet, the Internet marketing sector is huge and it’s here to stay for the long hall.

Always learn how to do something yourself, this not only saves money but saves time as well.

Hire someone to do it for you, someone in-house. Say you have a particular employee who shows theoretical background in the subject but at the same time shows potential to learn every aspect of Internet marketing then this may be the one to hire for a slightly lower salary and give them some training. Once they have proven that they can and do produce results and higher traffic as well as higher sales, you can always certainly increase their pay.

Outsource it all. Outsourcing is a wonderful thing for small business. It allows us to have the best of both worlds - we don't have to do it ourselves and we don't have to pay the expense of having a full time employee.

The Use Of Old Computers

Many small businesses tend to have problems figuring out where their money should go, supplies, employees, insurance, marketing, etc. Few think about spending money on new technology items such as new computers, they see the older computers that they currently are working with and figure if they aren’t broke…why fix them?

This can be detrimental to the company in the long run. The thing about business is that it is changing along with technology changing and the different threats out there are even changing. Meaning, the older your computer, the less functions it will serve, the less security it will have and the more problems in will encounter.

The fact is that older computers cannot perform as fast as new computers, hence you are missing out on the changes your business needs to make to keep up and THRIVE in our changing, global world. Yes, even in this miserable and frightening economy.

Working with older computers creates more frustration for your employees when they have to deal with the slow speed, more crashes, lost information, smaller capability to hold large files, slower start-up and shut down periods, etc. Why cause more frustration and lost money when you could improve these two things by replacing your old computers with new?

In business we all know that happy employees means happy work place which equals productive work place. A Lot of businesses ponder many ideas on improving their employee morale without emptying their wallets in the process. Below are a few ideas that OpenForum had regarding improving employee morale.

Eating lunch with your employees can be a simple and effective way of boosting employee morale suggests Openforum. However, i think there is more to it than that. Every business is operated differently and everyone feels differently about their boss, so this one i think is a touchy step. What if eating lunch with your employees takes away from their venting session’s about their day and makes them feel uncomfortable having you there?

Give a lot of compliments personally and publicly on good work performed. This i have to agree with, this is sure to boost the morale of the employees because everyone loves to hear praise, everyone loves others to know that they are doing well, and often times this public display will encourage others to do well so they receive the same praise.

Be candid about how things are going. If things are going well, be sure your employees are aware of the success.  If things aren't going well, talk about the problems early on and nip any gossip right in the bud.

When we think of social networks we think of the plain networking possibilities, the social interaction between two people or between one business and another. However, FastCompany set the record straight when going through the many possibilities of the different social networks.

Take a look at Facebook for example, more than 150 million people populate Facebook from 170 different countries and territories. Now from a sales person’s or a managers point of view, when your dealing with marketing for your company, a place that contains more than 150 million people is definitely where you should be. Imagine the possibilities there.

Myspace is another big attraction that most people think is for kids and teenagers. On the contrary, Myspace is mostly populated of people 27-40 and a good majority of them are moms with numerous sites revolved around moms and shopping updates and tips. Businesses place small ads on Myspace to help boost their revenue to which one company succeeded in boosting their revenue by 200%! That is huge.

So when you think of social networks now, maybe you’ll remember that they are not just for kids and play time, they are a great place to be when in business and searching for new marketing territory.
